Cedar Shakes & Shingles

Wood Shingles

The cedar shakes and cedar shingles we recommend and install are from well-regarded manufacturers such as G&R Cedar, Ltd., Anbrook Industries, Waska Cedar and Teal Cedar Products. They come pressure treated with fire retardants and chemical preservatives for increased fire resistance and to prevent premature rot and decay. What’s more, we are trained and authorized to offer our customers the highest level of warranty for each of these vendors.

Connecticut Roofcrafters has 20 years of experience in recommending and installing new or replacement wood roofs. Typically manufactured from western red cedar and Alaskan yellow cedar, wood shakes and shingles are prized for their beauty as they age, durability, traditional appearance and their ability to stand up to severe coastal weather conditions.

Shingles, sawn on both sides, deliver a very high level of protection to your home or business and are well-suited for homes and buildings which lend themselves to this style. Shakes, sawn on one side and split on the other, provide an even more desirable aesthetic appeal while delivering durability, bio-degradable characteristics, low carbon footprint and impact resistance.
